Weekly and Week-by-Week Lessons
Weekly Lessons:
30 min lesson $135 per month
45 min lesson $202.50 per month
60 min lesson $270 per month
A La Carte Lessons: $37.50 for 30 mins and $75 for 1 hr
Bloom Studio Policies:
Bloom Studio is a year-round music school.
Tuition is calculated based off of the number of teaching weeks in the year running January 1st-December 31st divided into 12 equal monthly payments. Some months will have 5 lessons, most will have 4, some will have fewer due to scheduled studio vacations. Tuition is due during the first week of each month--payable in cash, check, or via electronic transfer using Venmo or Zelle. The monthly fee also includes participation in 3 optional annual recitals--a Halloween zoom recital, a winter recording project, and a spring in-person recital--and participation in other studio events.
MISSED LESSONS: If the student is sick, please let Ms. Bloom know as soon as possible and she will offer a video call lesson via Zoom or FaceTime during your regular lesson time or a video recorded lesson that you can do anytime. Please do not come to in-person lessons if you are feeling ill. She can easily switch to a video call lesson with as little at 5 minutes notice. If you don’t have a voice, we can focus on theory and composition work until you are feeling well enough to sing or play. If you know ahead of time that you won't be able to attend your lesson and you give at least 1 week notice, you may request to reschedule during an available spot on the Studio Calendar at www.marissabloom.com However, if you do not find an available time on the studio schedule and reserve it within 2 weeks of the missed lesson date, she will send you a recorded video lesson which you can complete at any time.
If Ms. Bloom becomes ill, she will switch all lessons to video call for your own safety and health. If she has to cancel lessons completely due to illness or an emergency, she will use her built in flex week and cancel lessons.
HOLIDAYS: The studio will be closed for the last two weeks of December and for roughly two weeks over the summer. Advanced notice will be given as to the exact dates. These breaks are already factored into the monthly studio tuition, so no discount will be given on those months. No Monday holidays are observed; however, the studio will be closed on 4th of July and Thanksgiving Day. A flex week is factored into the tuition which will be used if Ms. Bloom becomes ill and must cancel lessons or it will be used for Thanksgiving week if she does not use it sooner.
TIMELINESS: If you are late, you will have the remaining time for your lesson. Please be prompt on student pick-up as students are scheduled back to back.
SUMMER LESSONS: Lessons occur year-round with a few weeks of studio break which are factored into the monthly tuition. However, we can adjust lesson days and times over the summer months when children are out of school. We create a new studio schedule every August.
MUSIC: You will be required to purchase your own method books and additional sheet music as suggested by the instructor. Please also supply a binder and pencil.
DISCONTINUING: One month’s notice is required when discontinuing or pausing lessons. If you have to discontinue lessons with less notice, you will still be charged for the next month and will be sent video recorded lessons for the remainder of the lessons. This includes extended breaks for summer holidays or vacations. Should you choose to pause lessons, Bloom Studio will offer your regular lesson time to those on its waitlist and cannot guarantee that a new spot will be available for you should you choose to return. If you'd like to reserve your spot but will miss a few lessons, the regular rescheduling policy will remain in effect.
WEEK BY WEEK STUDENT CANCELATIONS: If you do not have a specific weekly spot assigned to you, but you have a lesson scheduled, 24 hours notice is required to cancel; otherwise a video lesson will be sent for the missed lesson time.
