E-mail Marissa at
marissa@marissabloom.com for more information. Marissa has that rare combination of being a talented
vocalist and performer, as well as an extraordinary
vocal teacher. I’ve had a number of voice teachers
over the years, but I never understood how to
incorporate the correct elements of voice until I
studied under Marissa. Her unique energy and
teaching style, which includes a whole body
approach, has enabled me to experience what it’s
like when everything comes together as it should…
naturally and effortlessly. I love that I now know
how to produce a clear, bright sound that rides the
breath. I believe singing is the sound expression
of our souls. Thanks to Marissa, I’m able to
express mine a bit better. I am truly grateful to
have had the privilege of learning from her. She is
absolutely amazing, both as a person and as an
instructor.
Thank you, Marissa, for sharing your talents with
me, and for helping me find and develop my once lost
voice. -Michele Wengryn
"I
have no music degrees and no training as a singer.
Yet, I love to sing and thought I might enjoy taking
lessons. Like any new student of music, I wondered
whether the experience would be humiliating or too
much to handle. And then I found Marissa Bloom and
her upbeat, enthusiastic approach to learning to
sing. Marissa made me see new connections between
music, body, soul, and singing. She also made me
laugh -- such an important ingredient in the
learning curve! I thoroughly enjoyed working with
her and highly recommend her to other novices who
need a genuinely interested mentor/teacher willing
to start from the beginning
and proceed at a pace that allows the student to
'grow' talent.
Thanks, Marissa, for showing me how to build skills
and confidence!"

"In a semester with Marissa I cannot believe the
change in my voice. Early on I was struggling with
a scratchy speaking voice and was even worse off in
song. But throughout the semester, and with amazing
patience by Marissa, she found creative ways for me
to treat my voice better and was always positive
about my improvement. We focused on technique,
breathing, and posture to make sure I got the best
out of my voice. Her style is so down to earth and
easy to follow; not only is she such a sweet person,
but it's obvious her dedication and love for music
and voice. I have nothing but great things to say
about Marissa; I know she can make wonderful changes
and improvements for anyone who is willing to work
hard and mirror Marissa's dedication. Thank you
Marissa!!"
